Editorial Vocabulary (published on Google Play as "Daily Editorial & Vocabulary",
package name megaminds.dailyeditorialword) is developed and operated by
MEGAMINDS Web & IT Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what
data the app collects, why, and how you can control or delete it. It applies to the
Android app and to this companion website.
What we collect
We collect the following categories of data, either directly or through the third-party services listed further below.
Account information (optional)
Sign-in is optional and only required for leaderboard participation and premium sync across devices. If you sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication), we receive your email address and a user ID. If you never sign in, this data is not collected.
Purchase information
If you buy Premium, purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of what was purchased and when (purchase history) so we can unlock the right features. We never receive or store your card number, bank details, or other raw payment information — that data stays with Google Play.
Manual payment verification (bKash / Nagad / Rocket — Bangladesh)
As an alternative to Google Play Billing, users in Bangladesh may pay for Premium via bKash, Nagad, or Rocket to a personal number we provide in the app, then submit the sender's phone number, transaction ID, and amount paid for manual verification. This information is stored in our Firebase Firestore database and is used solely to confirm the payment and grant Premium access — we do not receive your bKash/Nagad/Rocket PIN, account balance, or any other details beyond what you submit in this form. Verification is performed manually by us.
App activity
We collect in-app interactions — such as words viewed, quizzes completed, and streak activity — via Firebase Analytics, to understand feature usage and improve the app.
Crash and performance data
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error, so we can identify and fix bugs.
Device and advertising identifiers
The app shows ads via Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), which automatically collects device identifiers — including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID — and, for signed-in users, identifiers tied to the Google account on the device. Firebase Installations also assigns an internal installation identifier to your device. These identifiers do not include your name or contact details.

Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. Device and advertising identifiers are shared with Google AdMob for ad delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention, as part of how the Google Mobile Ads SDK operates. Account, activity, and crash data are processed by Firebase (a Google Cloud service) acting on our behalf — it is not shared onward to unrelated third parties.
Third-party services used by this app
Data retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data — including saved words, streaks, XP, and leaderboard entries — at any time. Requests are processed manually within 7 days. Purchase/transaction records — including manual bKash/Nagad/Rocket payment submissions — are retained after account deletion where required for accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.
Data security
All data transmitted between the app and our services is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use commercially standard practices — including Google Cloud/Firebase's built-in security infrastructure — to protect your information.
Children's privacy
Editorial Vocabulary is designed for competitive exam aspirants (BCS/PSC/UPSC/SSC) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Sign-in is optional — you can use core app features without an account.
- You can request deletion of your account or specific data at any time (see above).
- You can reset your Android Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device's Google Settings > Ads.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Updates take effect immediately upon posting to this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
